Nuernberg is a central traffic hub. Irrespective of which direction you are coming from and how your navigation system guides you – Nuernberg ’s location is like a "spider in a web". The city has outstanding connections to the infrastructure and can be accessed easily and quickly using the European motorway network, rail network as well as via European flight timetables.

In 12 minutes using the U2 service you reach Nuernberg main rail station and from there you can get to NürnbergMesse within 8 minutes on the U1 service.

To do so you either require a single ticket for Zone A, alternatively a one-day ticket if you are planning several trips. For those arriving at Nuernberg 's main rail station by ICE, IC or Eurocity, 400 rail and bus services are at your disposal, all of which can be used with just one travel ticket.

On more than 300 days each year, in and around Nuernberg ’s Dutzendteich, events are held at the venues all in close proximity to each other: the exhibition centre Nuernberg, ARENA and stadium. In 2004, the multiple award-winning „Messe/Stadion/ARENA dynamic traffic guidance and parking guidance system“ went online. The current traffic load on the access roads is constantly assessed and updated and traffic diverted and redirected to more suitable roads along with notification of parking vacancies and capacities. 18,000 parking spaces are registered in the system. Thanks to this smart traffic guidance system, tailbacks and accidents have been considerably reduced.
