Kolkata, 12 September 2025 – The inaugural day of KOLKATAWOOD 2025 witnessed an
enthusiastic opening at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, marking a milestone moment for
Eastern India’s woodworking, furniture, and mattress sectors. Organised by NürnbergMesse
India, the exhibition is the newest chapter in the 25-year legacy of IndiaWood, one of the
world's largest platforms for woodworking and furniture manufacturing technologies.

Speaking at the event, Smt. Vandana Yadav, IAS (Managing Director, West Bengal Industrial
Development Corporation; Principal Secretary, Industry Department, and CEO, WB Trade
