NürnbergMesse: Benedikt Weyerer is appointed new
Exhibition Director for embedded world, iSEnEC and Net.Law.S
effective 1 October 2017
For years, digitalisation and the Internet of Things (IoT) have been
undergoing dramatic growth. And the NürnbergMesse events which
focus on these thematic areas have enjoyed equally positive
development. As of 1 October 2017, this specific trade fair expertise
will be concentrated in one team, as Benedikt Weyerer, 37, assumes
the role of Exhibition Director of embedded world, iSEnEC and
Net.Law.S. For Dr Roland Fleck, CEO of NürnbergMesse Group, it's
a logical step: "Digitalisation is forcing rapid change in industry and
society. As a company we are offering the right kind of answers that
also come in the person of our Exhibition Director."
Benedikt Weyerer, who is originally from Chiemgau in Bavaria, already has
extensive expertise in organising events: Through his work on the
embedded world Exhibition&Conference he has been able to acquire firsthand
trade fair experience in the “engine room” for the digitalisation of
industry. Without embedded system technologies, for example, the
Internet of Things or autonomous driving would not even be possible. This
knowledge is necessary to understand the importance of legal bases and ethical standards in this context. These are issues that are also addressed
within the scope of the Net.Law.S conference, which Weyerer developed
along with two other NürnbergMesse colleagues. Weyerer’s event profile is
rounded off by iSEnEC, an event whose interdisciplinary approach unites key
players from industry and the scientific community to discuss the issue of
renewable energies.
