- Still on course for growth
- Bavarian Interior Ministry assumes patronage
- New: 1st Laser Safety Conference
Enforce Tac is still on course for growth, against a background of a steady increase in the daily challenges facing emergency services. The international trade fair for command, control and operational equipment used by security agencies (Enforce Tac), to be held at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg on 7-8 March 2018, will be larger than ever before.
Enforce Tac 2018 will be the seventh trade fair in the series to be held in Nuremberg, and Joachim Herrmann, the Bavarian Minister for the Interior, Building and Transport, has consented to be patron. The combination of highly specialised products and services from the exhibiting companies and realistic training in theory and practice at the accompanying conferences has made Enforce Tac the “go-to” event for police special forces all around the world.
Conference programme with its finger on the pulse
As it does every year, the European Police Trainer Conference (EPTK), held by PiD (Polizeitrainer in Deutschland e.V.), will pick up on the latest topics of police work and illustrate them in the form of expert presentations on the first day of the trade fair. Members of agencies and organisations with security functions can then undergo live training in the tactical use of the latest technology on the second day.
A new element in the Enforce Tac conference programme is the 1st Laser Safety Conference of the Bavarian Laser Centre (Bayerisches Laserzentrum gemeinnützige Forschungsgesellschaft mbH, “blz”), from Erlangen. The programme of presentations will deal with the risk to individuals posed by the misuse of laser devices. In addition to the technical principles, the conference will consider the medical aspects of laser pointer attacks, the criminal and legal angles, and the opportunities available to drivers and emergency services to ensure effective protection.
In parallel: more security with drones – and against them
Using unmanned systems to improve security, and also protecting against undesired penetration of critical structures by drones, will be the focus of the second U.T.SEC – Unmanned Technologies & Security Expo & Conference, which will take place in parallel at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg on 7-8 March 2018. The latest products from the exhibitors, product presentations on the conference theme, and live demonstrations of unmanned systems at the demo area offer a unique insight into the state of the art.
U.T.SEC, held in NCC West at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, is right next to the exhibition area for Enforce Tac, and admission is free for holders of a trade visitor’s ticket for Enforce Tac.
