Sicherheitsnetzwerk München (Security Network Munich) and Information Security Society Switzerland new partners for it-sa
International VIS!T symposium brings IT security experts from management together in Nuremberg
With 630 exhibitors* and 12,780 trade visitors, it-sa 2017 recorded growth
of 28 and 25 percent respectively compared to the previous edition, thus
emphasising its position as the world’s largest exhibition for IT security
solutions by exhibitor numbers and the leading dialogue platform for
cyber security. Two factors play an important role in the strong appeal of
it-sa: the close collaboration with its honorary sponsors and partners, and
its high-profile accompanying events. In 2018, the network of partners to
it-sa will be expanded to include Sicherheitsnetzwerk München (Security
Network Munich) and Information Security Society Switzerland. For the
first time, too, the international symposium “VIS!T” (Verwaltung integriert
sichere Informationstechnologie, Management Integrates Secure
Information Technology) will be held as part of it-sa in 2018. it-sa 2018 will
be held at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 9 to 11 October.
In addition to consulting with exhibitors in the Exhibition Advisory Board, for it-sa
2018 the exhibition management will continue to work closely with honorary
sponsors Bitkom and BSI, as well as expanding its collaboration with partner
entities.
Important reference and ideal information platform
The partner network of it-sa is being expanded this year to include
Sicherheitsnetzwerk München (Security Network Munich), in which NürnbergMesse participates as organiser of it-sa, and Information Security
Society Switzerland (ISSS). “As one of the key exhibitions in the area of IT
security, it-sa has long been an important reference for partners in Security
Network Munich,” says Peter Möhring, Security Network Munich’s General
Manager. “We are very happy to have this opportunity to take our collaboration
to a new level with this new official partnership.”
“For experts from Switzerland, too, it-sa is an excellent event and an ideal
information platform for IT security,” says ISSS Chairman Umberto Annino. In
addition to the honorary sponsors and Premium Partner Bundesverband ITSicherheit
(IT Security Association Germany, TeleTrusT), the supporters of it-sa
include the Arbeitgeberverbände der Metall- und Elektroindustrie in Bayern (The
Bavarian Employers’ Associations for the Metalworking and Electrical
Industries, bayme vbm), Bayerisches IT-Sicherheitscluster (Bavarian IT Security
Cluster), Bayerischer Verband für die Sicherheit in der Wirtschaft (Bavarian
Association for Business Security, BVSW), Deutschland sicher im Netz
(Germany Safe Online, DsiN), Datakontext, Verband der Internetwirtschaft
(Association of the Internet Industry, eco), the Czech Network Security
Monitoring Cluster, the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), tech
UK and the Bundesverband der IT-Anwender (Federal Association of IT Users,
VOICE). Director Exhibition Frank Venjakob comments: “Close and regular
exchanges with industry representatives in the Exhibition Advisory Board and
our contacts with associations and organisations ensure we have our ear to
what is happening on the market at all times. This gives us important stimuli for
the further development of it-sa and the congress programme. We are looking
forward to working with both our existing and our new partners.”
International symposium “VIS!T” to be held as part of it-sa 2018
Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is organising the
international symposium “VIS!T” (Verwaltung integriert sichere
Informationstechnologie, Management Integrates Secure Information
Technology) in Nuremberg as part of it-sa 2018. This event is aimed at IT
security experts in management and is held every second year in different
locations. VIS!T gives participants from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and
Luxembourg the opportunity to discuss a range of specific challenges.
